Canada-Nepal Friendship Day-Unity in Diversity
Purushottam Thapa
Verified Society Publication ⢠Registration #S0066426
Dear Community friends,
Warm greetings from all of us at the
CanadaâNepal Friendship & Cultural Society (CANFACS)!
As we look forward to the coming year,
we are delighted to cordially invite you, your family, and our wider community
across {{city}} and beyond to celebrate a remarkable milestone: CanadaâNepal
Friendship Day 2027, marking 61 years of enduring diplomatic relations between
Canada and Nepal under the overarching theme of "Unity in
Diversity."
Although our two nations are separated
by vast oceans and continents, we are deeply connected by our shared
multicultural values, vibrant heritage, and majestic mountain landscapesâfrom
Canadaâs rugged Rockies to Nepalâs iconic Himalayas, home to Sagarmatha (Mount
Everest). While Canada touches three oceans with bustling maritime gateways,
Nepal rests gracefully in the heart of South Asia, steeped in ancient heritage
as the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Together, through cultural exchange, artistic
expression, and youth leadership, we celebrate over six decades of friendship,
mutual respect, and shared progress.
